Meet Alvin Casey of A.C. East Tennessee Promotions

Many of the shows brought to Johnson City are the works of Alvin. Alvin worked with us bringing Jesco White to town both times, and now he has started his own thing A.C. East Tennessee Promotions. Alvin specializes in his country roots bringing characters such as The Moonshiners from the hit TV series, Rachel Brooke, and other country acts. However A.C. East Tennessee Promotions is not limited to country acts. Alvin is the one responsible for bringing Bam Margera & CKY to town. No mistake about it, Alvin has been working hard to bring great event to this area. Be sure to show his page some love and keep up with what he has going on.

The Andrew W.K. show is not a TriCities Promotions event, but we are still a huge fan of Andrew. If you are unfamiliar with him then watch the video we posted above. He is definitely entertaining. He will be partying hard at The Hideaway May 28th. We don't have any info about tickets just yet, but I'd say it will sell out soon. So stand by!

Local Musician Shows

We are now hosting local shows other than our own works. We will promote strictly as a free service for local musicians. We will host flyers on our website for free. This only applies to musicians that live within the Tri Cities and shows that are held in the Tri Cities. We won't host a local band's show that's in Knoxville or etc.

This is a free service intended to build the community. We have strict guidelines for flyer submission.

The flyer has to be of professional quality. Exercise your graphic design skills. We will not host flyers that are poorly made.

All submissions must be emailed to LocalShows@TriCitiesPromotions.com We will not accept flyers emailed to any other place, Facebook, and etc.

Be sure to email all necessary info along with the flyer. That's about it! Thanks!

Recent Band Interviews

Smile Empty Soul Interview

Back in November we booked Smile Empty Soul along with Hurt & Black Oxygen. This is an interesting interview because I shed light on how the whole show came about. Basically Smile Empty Soul is the reason I decided to book the show. I have been a fan of them since I was a kid. It was pretty cool to get to hang with them and ask some questions I've been wanting to know.

I also made a didgeridoo and gave them. I gave one to Hurt also.

If you want to buy a didgeridoo made by your's truly check out the link. They aren't too expensive and they are pretty dang fun to play!

Hurt Band Interview

This is the footage of the Hurt Interview. I spent the day hanging with Jay & Vic before hand. They are pretty cool guys. We went to Mediterranean Garden for lunch. I also took them to Atlantis downtown. They like middle eastern stuff. That's where the didgeridoos came from. I had a few in the store for sell on consignment. I gave them one to take on tour.

But this interview sheds light on their perspective. It's mostly personal questions not music related. I figure they get asked music stuff to much, and I'd rather know other things. I catch them off guard. It was a pretty good interview and I am happy with it.

Black Oxygen Interview

This was my first time hearing Black Oxygen. I didn't know a whole lot to ask them so it's mostly just cutting up and having fun. They are cool guys and have an interesting story to share. They got discovered by a member of Sevendust and have had a lot of help along the way.

They are living the American Dream!

Kingsfoil Interview July 2012

The video to the right is footage from when they were in Johnson City last summer. During this interview I basically had no idea who they were. I interviewed them before I even had a chance to hear them play. But aside from that I was able to pull a few questions out. I like to think my interviewing skills have improved, at least a little haha. But towards the end there is some cool footage of them playing live. It's pretty good quality considering the camera I had at the time.

I hope some of you read this message and take a minute to check them out. You will be glad you did. :) $7 and you can see them live Feb 8th.
Hope to see you there take care!

Jesco White Concert! HUGE Success!

The Jesco filled weekend of January 18th & 19th was a huge success. The second night sold out at the Galaxy Lounge! This was Jesco's retirement show. I don't believe he will be having anymore shows, but that is always subject to change. Thanks to all of the bands that came out and played. The Continental Waylay & The Whisky Incident opened Friday. Thanks guys. And on Saturday Strangers When We Meet & The Rickshaw Roadshow opened. Both nights were awesome! All of you killed it!

Photos and video will be posted soon. You can view some of the photos on TriCitiesNights.com more photos will be uploaded here in our photos section. Also I want to give special thanks to Marc Tragler from WXBQ for hosting the event. He rocked. He really set the mood! So thanks dude!

We will be announcing our next show very soon. It will be pretty awesome. Stay tuned and we will announce it once it is officially confirmed. Thanks again everyone!

New Upload: Jesco White Interview Day 2. 12/12/12

Back in September we had Jesco and his wife Alida come down to Johnson City for a show at Schmucks Pizza. He was here for two days doing a back-to-back set, and we got a couple interviews. In this one Jesco tells us about his sister Mamie and her "mife shems", his wife also tells us the story of how they got hitched. It was love at first sight.

My brother Levi is a big Jesco fan so we let him set in on the interview, and Nathan Federico, the drummer from Swamp Fox hops on camera and asks Jesco a couple questions.

This is the final footage of the Jesco show, but we have the Black Oxygen interview finished. It will be ready to post soon. HURT and Smile Empty Soul will be posted within the weeks to come. So check back and see whats new.
